Our Story
Many couples speak about love at first sight. For Henry and Tabitha, it was love at the 10th sight.
Henry started serving Jakarta Central Church in 2017 as a new pastor. She had been a fixture as a church secretary since 2016.
Over the course of 3 years, the two interacted around church activities such as church meetings, bible study groups, and at the weekly Jakarta Sunday run called Car Free Day.
During the birth of Covid-19, Henry suffered a major toothache. He asked the church to pray for him.
Tabitha means gazelle. One characteristic of a gazelle is speed. After the prayer meeting, Tabitha in gazelle fashion called Henry to check if he needed help finding a dentist.
This was the 10th sight. Henry saw Tabitha in a new light. Sometimes the pain comes with a bigger purpose. On June 4th, Tabby and Henry, with God’s help hope to fulfill God's purpose that it is not good for man to be alone.
They say with Solomon, “This is my beloved. This is my friend,” (Songs 5:16)
